Kevin Gummings - December 9, 2015

This year your Selection Committee selected Kevin Cummings, President and Chief Executive Officer ofInvestors Bank. Under Mr. Cummings leadership, Investors evolved into a full-service community and commercial bank. The bank was recognized as one of the "Best Banks in America" by Forbes Magazine and was included on Fortune's "Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies". Mr. Cummings received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 New Jersey Award.

 Mr. Cummings is a graduate of Middlebury College. He was the recipient of the Harry M. Fife Award for Excellence in Economics and Athletics. He played basketball and baseball and ended his basketball career as the school's all-time leading scorer. He received his MBA from Rutgers University. Mr. Cummings is a certified public accountant and has been a frequent speaker at seminars on topics involving business leadership as well as marketing and branding.

 Prior to joining Investors, Mr. Cummings had a 26 year career with an independent acco unting firm, KPMG, LLP and was an audit partner in the Financial Services practice in the New York office. He also worked in the New Jersey community bank practice for over  20 years.

Mr. Cummings was born and raised in Jersey City.  He and his wife, Patricia, are residents of Summit, New Jersey. He is a trustee of the Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children, a Trustee of the Visiting Nurse Assn. Health Group and many other civic and charitable associations. He was Grand Marshall at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Newark and sits on the Parade Committee.

He and Patricia have four children: Katie, a graduate of Bowdoin College; Kevin and William, both graduates of Holy Cross; and Mary, a graduate of Colby College. In his spare time, he has coached basketball at the AAU and CYO level and served as Athletic Director at St. Teresa's of Avila.
